Privacy Policy

HomeReel is a local media library and player for Apple Vision Pro. It is built to work with videos you choose from local storage, local network shares, or self-hosted media servers.

Summary

HomeReel does not create an account for you, does not include advertising SDKs, and does not include analytics SDKs. Gnod Studio does not collect, sell, or share personal data from HomeReel.

Data Stored On Your Device

HomeReel may store the following data locally on your device:

• Media source configuration, such as display name, host, share name, and start path.
• Playback progress, watched status, queue state, and app settings.
• Artwork cache files used to make the library faster.
• Passwords or credentials for sources you add, stored in the system Keychain when needed.

This data is used only to make the app work and remains on your device unless you choose to remove the app, clear data, or change system backups.

Local Network Access

HomeReel may request local network access so it can connect to SMB/NAS sources or other local media servers that you configure. Local network access is used only to reach the sources you enter or select.

Optional Third-Party Services

If you configure TMDB metadata, HomeReel may send movie or file-title search queries to TMDB to retrieve posters, artwork, and descriptions. TMDB is a third-party service and its processing is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.

If you configure Jellyfin or another self-hosted source, HomeReel communicates with the server address you provide. Credentials and media requests are sent to that server so the app can browse and play your library.

Data We Do Not Collect

Gnod Studio does not collect:

• Your video files.
• Your NAS or local server credentials.
• Your playback history.
• Your media library file paths.
• Analytics, advertising identifiers, or usage tracking data.

Children

HomeReel is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
